Born in Sarajevo (Bosnia). Currently is based in Madrid. Vanja Skokovic started her violin playing with 6 years old in Buñol (Valencia, Spain). In 2005 she started her Superior Studies at Joaquin Rodrigo Superior Conservatory in Valencia with Ms. Mari Carmen Antequera. At that time, she also received lessons by Professor Mr. Alexander Detisov (Moscow Virtuosi Orchestra). After graduated, Vanja continued her music education at Liege Royal Conservatory with Professor Mr. Karen Aroutiounian obtaining her Master Diploma.

In her studying years, Vanja received violin master classes from outstanding musicians like Gordan Nikolic, Vasco Vassilev, Ulf Hoelscher, Stephan Picard, Gil Sharon, Maria Radicheva, Anabel Garcia, Joaquin Palomares and chamber music education from François Deppe, Audrey Gallez, Olivier Vandeschaege, Mia Elezovic, Marta Gulays, Gabriel Raelet, Talich and Fine Arts Quartet.
Vanja has collaborated with world renowned musicians like Krystian Zimerman, Guy Braunstein, Julian Rachlin, Vadim Gluzman, Ludmil Angelov, David Grimal, Gordan Nikolic, Peter Petrov, Evgeny Nikitin, Sergey Ostrovsky, Ermir Abeshi, N.Boriso-Belsky, Joaquin Achucarro, Juan Diego Florez and Olga Peretyaktko.

She has made recordings for Spanish Radio and Television, Radio-Télévision Belge de la Communauté Française, SR1 Lounge German Radio and CD recordings with different orchestras such as Liege Philharmonic Orchestra with works by Richard Wagner. As a soloist, Vanja performed in different countries like Spain and Belgium playing the Vivaldi Four Season with Spanish Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Valery Khlebnikov, the Bach Doble concerto for violin and oboe, Concerto for Two Violins by Bach and the Concerto for fours violins by Vivaldi.

She has been recognized by Institutions like "Gustave Wernaerts Fundation" in Belgium. Vanja has collaborated as assistant concertmaster in different orchestras like Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, Adda Symphonic Proms Orchestra /The World Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra Concert Festival ECSA (European Composer and songwriters Alliance), collaborating also with Excelentia Symphony Orchestra, Queen Sophia School of Music Orchestra, Liege Philarmonic Orchestra, Houlencourt Soloistes (Guy Braunstein), Segle XXI Orchestra, Ciudad de Elche Symphonic Orchestra, Castellon Symphonic Orchestra, Symphonie Assai, Aurora Festival Orchestra (Kurt Masur). As well, Vanja has collaborated with Chamber Orchestras like Spanish Chamber Orchestra, Valencian Community Chamber Orchestra, Excelentia Foundation Chamber Orchestra, London&Vienna Kammerochestre, BruSolistes Chamber Orchestra and Orchestra de Chambre Aria.

In 2017 was invited by Film Symphony Orchestra to play at the prestigious Goya Awards. In 2018 performed with Orquesta Clásica Santa Cecilia in the Gala Concert for Real Madrid Foundation sharing stage with artist like Placido Domingo, Ara Malikian, Sara Baras, Pablo Sainz Villegas, Niña Pastori among others.
As an active soloist and chamber musician, she has played in the most renowned concerts halls in England, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Italy, France, Holland and Spain such as Musikveiren Wien Golden Hall, Cadogan Concert Hall in London, Bozar Brussels, Flagey Brussels, Liege Philharmonic Hall, Luxembourg Symphonic Concert Hall, Arsenal Metz, Madrid Royal Theatre, Madrid National Concert Hall, Music Palace in Valencia, Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona, Teatro de la Maestranza in Sevilla among others.
She was a guest artist in Festivals such as Carloforte Music Festival, Italy, Aurora Chamber Music Festival, Sweden, Beyond the Music Chamber Music Festival, Spain, Festival “Caprichos Musicales de Comillas”, Spain, Medinacelli Chamber Music Festival, Spain. In 2017 was the guest violin Professor at Ioannina School of Music in Greece.
Currently, she is member of OCSC Symphony Orchestra. Vanja also is violin and Chamber Music Professor at Madrid Superior Conservatory “Progreso Musical” while maintaining an active performing career.
