Erasmus Policy Statement

In an international environment as the one classical music belongs to, it’s usually teachers who, after concerts and other experiences abroad, create links with different proffesionals and suggest proposals of collaboration among institutions. Is the active profile of our students too, who realize numerous intensives courses alongside their official studies, that can establish collaboration depending of their interest in studying with a concrete teacher of their instrumental specialization.
Therefore, the International Relations Coordinator and the General Coordinator will be open to this proposals, besides the consolidation in inter-institutional agreements of the relations with the institutions we have already contacts.
The geographic area in which we are planning to act is the correspondant to the programme countries. Our goal is to develop mobilities for 1st cycle students (bachelor) for study, and teacher’s mobilities for training and teaching. Our field of action inside Erasmus+ will be KA103.

In the framework of musical higher education studies, we must prepare students for an international laboral environment, and we consider basic to impulse formation and knowledge of the european reality for our students and faculty. The participation in Erasmus+ programme will increase the laboral perspectives of our graduates and will improve the quality of the education given in our school, besides the creation of links with other higher education institutions.
Therefore, the participation in this programme is key to the compliance of our modernisation and internationalisation objectives, and is closely related with the 5 priorities o the European Union’s modernisation and internationalisation agenda in higher education:

  • 1.Increasing attainment levels to provide the graduates and researchers Europe needs.
  • 2.Improving the quality and relevance of higher education.
  • 3.Stregthening quality through mobility and cross border cooperation.
  • 4.Lingkin higher education, research and business for excellence and regional development.
  • 5.Improving governance and funding.

In our school, alongside the General Coordinator and Academic Coordinator, we have created the figure of the International Relations Coordinator. The will work closely and will be the responsibles of the implementation and coordination of the international cooperation projects.
Therefore, key elements as the planning of inter-institutional agreements will corresponde to the collaboration of this deparments, and the technical elements as the preparation of Learning Agreements, information given to participants, integration of incoming participants or recognision of mobilities will be done by the International Relations department.

Student’s tutors will be taken in consideration in the preparation of Learning Agreements, and all the community will participate in the integration of the incoming students.
Communication, both with partners and participants, will be carried by email and phone. The information about the programme will be posted in our website. Information meetings will be organized and individual tutorial for preparation and monitorization of incoming and outcoming participants.
