Professional Teaching
The professional music education aims to guarantee not only a solid formation in the domain of the different instrumental techniques, but also in the knowledge of all the aspects inherent to the musical fact as a historical-musical phenomenon as well as aesthetic or psychological. Hence, certain subjects are given special relevance, for the benefit of a global musical education more in keeping with the humanist character that the integral education of the musician requires.
Taking into account the individuality that the study of an instrument or singing requires, the curriculum contains subjects that transcend this unipersonal component of the musical practice and introduce collective elements until now defined by the orchestra, by the choir and by chamber music. To the acquisition of the technique of the instrument or of the song and to the formation of the own interpretative criteria join formulas of musical practice in group like true tool of social relation and of interchange of ideas between the own instrumentalists and singers.
The purpose of professional music education is to contribute to the development of the following skills:
a)Listen to music and establish an aesthetic concept that allows them to base and develop their own interpretative criteria.
b)Develop artistic sensitivity and aesthetic criteria as a source of personal enrichment and training.
c)Analyze and evaluate the quality of the music.
d)Know the values of music and choose the aspects emanating from it that are most suitable for personal development.
e)Participate in activities of musical and cultural animation that allow to live the experience of transmitting the enjoyment of music.
f)Know and use with precision the specific vocabulary related to the scientific concepts of music.
g)To know and value the musical heritage as an integral part of the historical and cultural heritage.
